About Us

Welcome to the UAB Center for Clinical and Translational Science!

We are proud to be 1 of about 60 institutional recipients of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS)-sponsored Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA). We share as a common goal the improvement of human health through transformation of our institutional research infrastructure to enhance the efficiency and quality of clinical and translational research.

To provide access to our resources, we have structured our Center around a centralized physical and virtual hub called the Research Commons. This infrastructure was designed to facilitate the use of programs and services by investigators, trainees, and community members. We strive to provide assistance and information efficiently, and are consistently working to streamline investigator accessibility and support.
