Mr. James Jones

On September 6, 2010, AAS lost a valuable member of its family.  An highly esteemed and well respected colleague, Mr. James Jones joined the ancestors after passing away suddenly from a heart attack.  He taught in the African American Studies Program for many years and was well liked by his students and his co-workers at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI).  His presence in our program is terribly missed.
