Alpha Gams strive for excellence in every aspect of Greek life. Specifically, our chapter consistently maintains one of the highest GPAs in the Greek system at UAB. We have members in the University Honors Program, the Global and Community Leadership Honors Program, and the Science and Technology Honors Program, and many of our members attend college on academic scholarships.

While maintaining high scholarship standards, our members also find time to participate in numerous campus and community organizations and events. Each year our chapter participates in UAB's Homecoming Week activities and Springfest, as well as many other events. Our sisters serve as chairs and members of various campus organizations including: Leadership and Service Council, University Ambassadors, USGA Senators, Homecoming Committee, Orientation Leaders, RAs, Trailblazers, and Springfest Committee just to name a few. Our chapter also participates in intramural flag football, soccer, volleyball, dodge ball, and softball each season.
