Alpha Gams strive for excellence in all aspects of sorority life. Alpha Gamma Delta consistently maintains one of the highest GPA's in the Greek system at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Sisters' academic attainments have been recognized through various awards and honoraries, which include: Order of Omega (the Greek Honor Society), Golden Key National Honor Society, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Sigma, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Who's Who Among Students in American Universities, Phi Kappa Phi, UAB Honors Program, UAB Social and Behavioral Sciences Honors Program and Early Admission to Medical School.

Gamma Omega consistently wins awards at both the UAB Greek Awards Ceremony and the International Alpha Gamma Delta Convention. This year, at the UAB Greek Awards Ceremony, Alpha Gamma Delta was awarded the Gina Willis Chapter of Character Award. At Convention, Gamma Omega was recognized for reaching quota and total during Recruitment; awarded for excellence in scholarship, sisterhood, leadership, philanthropy, and membership; and named a Jewel chapter for the thirteenth year for philanthropic contributions! Our chapter advisor, Monica Collins, was recognized as the UAB Greek Advisor of the Year and the Alpha Gamma Delta International Advisor of the Year!
