Community College Initiative
As required by the LSAMP Phase IV Cooperative Agreement, Alabama LSAMP began a community college initiative designed to increase enrollment and degree production in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Each partner institution planned and executed its own initiative and will be evaluated on the success of its efforts.

Phase IV Technical Workshop
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) served as the host institution for the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Phase IV Technical Workshop on Monday, March 5, 2007.  The workshop featured presentations on NSF Requirements and Procedures for Subcontracts, Execution of Subcontracts at UAB, UAB Requirements and Procedures for Subcontracts, and UAB Requisition Payment Process and Alabama LSAMP Re-Budgeting Process.  Through the presentations, participants received information on the latest changes to the Phase IV reporting requirements as well as an overview of how the process is handled at UAB.
