Junior Alumni Board

DSC 8055Nominations are currently open for the UAB National Alumni Society Junior Alumni Board of Directors.  The National Alumni Society Junior Alumni Board will be made up of 16-18 UAB graduates age 24 to 34 that have shown continued interest in UAB and the National Alumni Society, have demonstrated leadership experience, and have established a successful career path or are currently pursuing an advanced degree at UAB.  


The goals of this group are to support the mission of the UAB National Alumni Society by encouraging membership in the Society and participating in the organization's events and activities, to build a strong network of young alumni that will serve as future leaders of the organization and remain engaged with UAB as ambassadors for the Society, and to advance the Society through various fundraising initiatives that will maintain current scholarships and create new scholarship opportunities for UAB students. 


pdfNomination forms must be accompanied by a short statement (250 words or less) detailing the individual's interest in serving the National Alumni Society and UAB in this capacity. Individuals selected to serve on the Junior Alumni Board will commence their one-year term on October 1, 2014, and their membership is renewable up to three consecutive terms.

The mission of the UAB National Alumni Society Junior Board is to support the University in its pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and public service and to create, foster, and nurture a mutually beneficial relationship between the University, its students and alumni.
