Alumni WebsiteThe 10th annual UAB faculty-led cruise to Antarctica is now booking for January 2018 with A&K on their special Understanding Climate Change voyage. The cruise package begins in Buenos Aires on January 6, 2018 and ends in Buenos Aires on January 17, 2018.

The philanthropic expedition is led by Dr. James McClintock, Endowed Professor of Polar and Marine Biology at UAB.

The 2018 cruise includes a tour of Palmer Research Station (conditions permitting). Travelers will also join Dr. McClintock in presenting a gift of scientific equipment to aid in climate change research.

The cost of the voyage begins at $13,495 per person, based on double occupancy, provided a deposit is made by May 31, 2017 before the early booking discount expires. The charter flight is priced separately at $850 per person. International airfare is not included.

Green and Gold WEBAlumni and friends enjoyed Homecoming with the National Alumni Society before the Homecoming Green and Gold game on October 20th.

More than 100 fans took part in the NAS tailgate on the West Campus Athletic Fields.

Comeback Brew was back under the large green and white tent for alumni to sample courtesy Cahaba Brewing Company.

Green defeated Gold 36-21 in a rematch of August's Green and Gold game.

The Blazers will mark their return to the field on Saturday, September 2, 2017. They will kickoff the 2017 season at Legion Field against Alabama A&M.
