About AskIT!
The AskIT help desk is the point of contact in the multi-tiered
help desk service. AskIT provides free phone support
or in-person computer support for all UAB Researchers,
Faculty, Staff and Students (by appointment).
The AskIT analysts work to triage or solve any problem
and refers unresolved issues to the appropriate level
of service and support group.
We have several options for you to choose from when
reporting or requesting service:
- Call us at 996-5555 - On Campus, the number is 6-5555!
- Report your problem online with
our Footprints system
- Email your issue to AskIT@uab.edu.
- Come in to see us!! We have two locations to serve you.
- AskIT - LHL is located on the first floor of the Lister Hill Library and is open during library hours.
- AskIT - Blazer Hall is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7am-9am and
3pm-6pm, Wednesday 3pm-6pm, Friday 7am-9am and 3pm-10pm.
- AskIT - CEC 225 is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:30am-6pm,
Wednesday 8:30am-6pm and Friday 6:30am-6pm.
Issue tracking is now automated with our AskIT Footprints system. You
can also search our knowledge base and post your own service requests.
