UAB Blackboard Student Support

This section provides you with information on course navigation, organizing your courses, communicating with your instructors and classmates, and how to work with assessments in Blackboard.
The tutorials below describe common tasks using multimedia content. The left navigation bar provides you with links to additional text-based resources.

If you have an immediate issue with access to the system, or are experiencing a technical problem, contact AskIT for support.

NOTE:
  • By default, you can access your course(s) in Blackboard on the first official day of the class unless your instructor requests that the course be opened early
  • By default, you have access to your Blackboard course(s) for 10 days beyond the last day of term unless your instructor requests an extension of the course end date
  • ** Please Note: The Blackboard interface has changed and may not look exactly as it appears in some of these video tutorials. However, the steps to complete these tasks have not changed
