The UAB Benevolent Fund is currently accepting applications for our 2013 Independent Agency Grants. The deadline for 2013 applications is 12:00 noon on Friday, January 18, 2013. Non-profit agencies with the primary purpose to provide service, education and/or research to meet human health-care needs and social services are invited to review the eligibility criteria and apply for a grant if appropriate. Non-profit agencies that receive Benevolent Fund designations through United Way or our local health agency designation may not apply for additional funding through the Independent Agency Grant process.
In 2012, $90,000 was awarded to 18 different Birmingham-area agencies using funds donated by UAB employees.
