The Community Impact Grant enables UAB employees to make a real and measurable difference to a challenging community issue. Eligible applicants for the grant are private non-profit organizations meeting the requirements of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and operating in the Greater Birmingham Area. Any organization meeting these requirements may submit a brief proposal by August 22, 2014. The grant proposal must address one or more of the following results:

  1.  Children achieve educational success.
  2.  People lead healthy, active lives.
  3.  Families are economically secure.

On December 10, 2014, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM three finalists will present their grant request to UAB employees. All employees in attendance will vote for the proposal that they believe will make the greatest impact in our community. The winning proposal will be funded up to $50,000.
