After the amazing success of last year’s build, the UAB Habitat House is back for the fourth year in a row!  This year we’re excited to be building in Wylam for Ms. Tiffany Wells and baby Morgan. Ms. Wells is Bessemer native and a Miles College graduate.

“Owning my own home will allow me the chance to raise my son in a positive and safe environment,” says Tiffany, “I just want to say that I am more than grateful for this wonderful opportunity.”
The Wells family home will be built at 4405 5th Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35224

2014 Build

UAB 425 employees and students contributed over 2,000 volunteer hours during our first ever UAB Habitat House build! On November 10, 2014, La’Tasha Willis and her daughters, Lyric and Alexis, received the keys to their new house in the Pratt City community of Birmingham. It was a joy to see students, faculty, staff, and homeowners all working together toward the common goal of decent, affordable housing for our community and an event that sparked a now annual tradition at UAB!
