Q: Where is the lab?

            A: BEC 114

Q: When is it open?

             Summer schedule is May 5 - August 7, Monday - Thursday, 11:30am-5:30pm. Closed on UAB holidays
 
Q: How much do tutoring sessions cost?

            A: No cost. Tutoring is free.

Q: Who are the tutors?

            A: The tutors are all upper-level business students who excelled the courses offered for tutoring and are highly regarded by professors.

Q: What classes can I get help in?

            A: Any business class, but special attention is offered for AC 200, BUS 110, EC 210/ 211, FN 310, and QM 214/215
 
Q: Can the tutors help me with my homework?

            A: Tutors will not help you do your homework, but they can assist you if you have specific questions.
 
Q: Can I go to the lab even if I don’t need tutoring?

            A: Yes. The tutoring lab also offers a quiet study space for students.

Meet Collat Tutoring Team... 

Collat Tutoring Lab Providing Free Services for Students

 

The Collat Tutoring service is available to all students taking business courses and places special emphases on courses with the highest repeat rates: AC 200, EC 210, EC 211, FN 310 and QM 214.  All tutors have demonstrated academic success in areas they tutor and have received training with Dr. Kim Cunningham, Director of the University Academic Success Center, a valuable resource center open to all UAB students.  No appointments necessary at this time and absolutely no fees charged.  The lab is located on the first floor of the Collat School of Business, BEC 114.


Collat Tutoring Lab Hours- Fall Term (Aug. 25th - Dec. 11th):

Monday-Thursday: 10am-8pm
Friday: 10am-3pm
Lab will be closed during the Fall/Thanksgiving Break, November 24th - 28th.
