8. What prerequisites does the UAB MBA program have?
We require that you possess a bachelor degree and have taken pre-calculus algebra within the last 5 years. If an applicant has not completed a pre-calculus course within 5 years of admission with at least a C average, the applicant will be required to remove this deficiency through completion of UAB's math 105 course with a C average or better or by passing 2 proficiency exams. Students may take the exams at no charge. For students who need help preparing for the tests,  the Graduate School of Management offers the Foundations of Quantitative Analysis course. The course is offered three times per year and is taught on 2 consecutive weekends (Friday and Sunday evenings). Students admitted into the MBA program have up to one term to fulfill the calculus requirement.

9. Do you accept transfer students?
Yes. Any student wishing to transfer to our MBA program from another graduate program must complete the regular admissions application and meet our admissions requirements. We will accept up to 25% of program requirements taken at another AACSB accredited university provided that the courses are equivalent to those which we require. Students may not transfer in courses with a grade below a "B".
