The MBA degree requires a minimum of 36 hours and a maximum of 51 hours, of which at least 24 hours must be beyond the common body of knowledge and be open exclusively to graduate students as specified by the AACSB accrediting organization. MBA courses are offered in the late-afternoon/evening, meeting one time per week so students can continue to pursue their careers while earning their MBA. Some of the courses offer on-line options as well. Students with prior coursework in business may be exempted from up to 21 hours of the 51 required for the degree. Waivers and exemptions are determined upon admission by the graduate advisor. In order to waive a course, students must have completed equivalent coursework at the undergraduate level with at least B average. The Graduate School of Management requires international students to submit a catalog match report from ECE in order to determine waivable courses.
