Why Study Accounting and Finance at UAB?

The Department of Accounting and Finance (ACFN) offers undergraduate programs of study that lead to the Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and the Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.  The accounting degree can be earned in the classroom or online.  Our dedicated and caring ACFN faculty are exceptional teacher scholars and teach in both degree programs; in the classroom and online. High achieving undergraduate accounting students at UAB can enter the Fast-track Master of Accounting Program while pursuing their Bachelors degree in accounting.

Students can focus their studies through various concentrations and courses that continually evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of industry.  An Accounting Advisory Board and Finance Advisory Board consist of an elite and involved group of professionals who advise on a wide range of issues such as curriculum development, student employment, internships, scholarships, and general fundraising.
