Ford Hang 200x133Collat School of Business alumnus Michael Hang (Finance ’12) was recently selected to meet Ford Motor Company President and CEO Alan Mulally at Ford world headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.

Sanghavi1Professor Nitin Sanghavi, international retail marketing expert and professor of the Manchester Business School, spoke to the Collat School of Business Marketing, Industrial Distribution and Economics faculty on global trends in retailing and lectured in Dr. Michele Bunn’s Retail Marketing and Basic Marketing classes on November 13 and 14. 

The Collat School of Business unveiled a sign at a celebration on November 4th, marking its recent naming in honor of longtime supporters Charles and Patsy Collat.

ACEEProfessor Sarah Culver and Adjunct Professor Julie Kornegay were recently inducted into the Alabama Economic Educators’ Hall of Fame.  The honor is awarded to exceptional teachers  dedicated to their students in directly developing economic ways of thinking and problem solving, which will ensure their future as informed consumers, knowledgeable savers and investors, productive members of management and the workforce, and effective citizens in today’s local, state, national and global economics.

Professor Culver received special recognition for her leadership and commitment to the annual Economics Challenge, a state and national competition for high school students designed to increase their understanding of and interest in economics.
