About IBA

The International Business Association at UAB is a young, dynamic organization from the School of Business. It seeks to raise student awareness of international businesses, cultures and current issues by organizing cultural enhancement programs that facilitate student-professional networking opportunities. The IBA is a platform for students to interact with the business community and learn about International business.

The IBA invites professionals, students and individuals to speak about the business environment in their respective countries. Since 2008, the organization has invited speakers from the following countries:

Membership Requirements

Students must:

  • Be a UAB student
  • Complete and submit an application (contact Mr. Pang, BEC 209B)
  • Pay an annual membership fee ($15.00 for undergraduate, $50.00 for alumni)

Membership Privileges

Opportunity to network with professionals involved with international commerce and with other international organizations. Plus, select scholarship funds are available to IBA members only!


UAB in China

Each summer Mr. K.C. Pang, a Faculty Advisor, takes UAB students to China so they may participate in an intensive four week program with partner universities in China. It is a premiere IBA event and available to all School of Business students.
