AITP Offering Free Computer Virus Screenings Nov. 3rd - 5th

The UAB chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) will offer free computer virus screenings to School of Business students, staff and faculty as part of events related to UAB Homecoming Week.

As many as five information systems students from the AITP chapter will conduct the screenings 12-4 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, Nov. 3-5, in BEC room 107.

The initial virus screenings are no charge and other services are available for nominal fees. Participants can have a full computer system analysis conducted for $3. Computers can be optimized for $5 and virus removal can be performed for $10.

Participants must bring their laptop power cords and AC adapters with them as they are necessary to complete the process.
