School ofBusiness Students Win Prestigious National Awards

We are so very  proud of the following students and would like to congratulate them on receiving the following prestigious awards: 

Jennifer Ghandhi (Economics major with a concentration in PPE) has received the Margie Wade Fellowship of $5,000 from Alpha Lambda Delta (2010). In addition, Jennifer was also awarded the 2010 Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship, $5,000. Jennifer will enroll for a MD / PhD (in Policy Studies and Economics) at the University of Chicago.

Krish Varma (Economics and Spanish majors) has received a 2010 Department of State Critical Language scholarship to study Hindi in Jaipur, India for two and a half months over the summer.

Elisha Gentle (Economics, with PPE concentration and International Business) has won a one-year Rotary Ambassadorial scholarship to study for a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Elisha’s career plans are to be a consultant to development agencies in North Africa and the Middle East and to help establish American educational institutions in the Maghreb.

Kimberly Everett (Economics Major with a concentration in PPE, and a student in the University Honors Program) has been awarded a one-year Boren scholarship to study Mandarin and the Chinese Economy. Kimberly will be in Shanghai for a semester, followed by another in Beijing.
