The School of Business Career Services’ office has launched a new series for employer involvement called “Food for Thought”. Professionals from the employment community partner with classes to make presentations to address career opportunities in a particular career field.

The first industry we are focusing on is the consumer package goods industry. The Campbell’s Sales Company was the first to sign up. Two representatives from the company, Bernard Card and Vince Luczak, spoke to Dr. John Hansen’s professional selling class on October 11.

Bernard is the Retail Business Manager for the Birmingham metro area and Vince is the Retail Operations Manager for the mid-south division. Bernard and Vince talked about the consumer package goods industry, a day in the life of a Campbell’s Soup sales representative, and how students need to create their own identity in the workforce.

Campbell’s also allowed students to sample five new flavors of the V-8 Fusion. Look for more companies to participate in the “Food for Thought” series in the very near future.
