UAB Accounting Alumni Chapter Hosts Upcoming Event

UAB’s Accounting Alumni Chapter has begun to reestablish itself in the last several months. The current, newly formed Accounting Alumni Board includes Sarah Malcom, Lisa McMahon, Ricky Tucker and Tyler Jenkins and we hope to add to this number in the near future. We are all excited to get things moving and provide opportunities to reconnect with and be introduced to alumni who have graduated from the University’s fine accounting programs. Additionally, we hope to aid in networking with community leaders who are UAB alumni and those who are alumni of other universities.

Our board members have already attended a meeting, which has enabled us to get a good start in our efforts. Attendees at that meeting included the Dean and several Business School faculty members as well as representatives from the other Business School alumni boards. Currently, the Accounting Alumni Board is finalizing plans to sponsor a reception and social gathering with accounting alumni on June 30th at the Innovation Depot at 5:30. Furthermore, plans are in the works for the Alumni Board to assist in providing CPE classes, the first of which is scheduled for August 31st. Be on the lookout for further information for this and future events for the chapter.

We look forward to the happenings in the coming months and this reemergence of the UAB’s Accounting Alumni Chapter.
