Julie Ross Senter has been named director of communications for the UAB School of Business.
Senter is principal of Senterline Communications, a public relations and social media consultancy, and has nearly 20 years of experience directing communication strategy, social media outreach and branding campaigns. In her new role, Senter will be responsible for creating a comprehensive communications plan for the School of Business and overseeing its media relations, strategic communications and branding efforts.
“Julie brings a wealth of public relations and communications expertise to the School of Business, as well as her own experiences with entrepreneurship,” said UAB School of Business Dean David R. Klock, Ph.D. “We are thrilled to have her on board to help us raise the profile of our exceptional programs, faculty and students.”
Before founding Senterline in 2009, Senter served as director of public affairs and communications for the Building Industry Association of Southern California and as a reporter with The Birmingham News, the Detroit Free Press, the Huntsville Times and the Los Angeles Times covering education, business and local government.
