Why an MBA?

Though an MBA is not required for one to make a difference in one’s residential and professional community, it certainly doesn’t hurt the cause. UAB’s MBA curriculum will expose me to an environment that will enhance my decision making characteristics. The future of North American business and commerce, as well as the global society’s sustainable development, depend on the consistent good judgment of those in decision making positions, especially at the micro-level; where the proverbial tire meets the road. The UAB MBA will equip me with modern day tools and concepts of leadership and decision making. It will also provide me with an opportunity of seeing the world through the eyes of my classmates, who may not necessarily share my background. I am hopeful that they too will have a chance to see the world through my eyes. That way, we will all be fairly equipped for tomorrow’s culture and business, which is interdependent and intertwined. The MBA at UAB will certainly equip me to be a better citizen of tomorrow.
