Faculty Quoted in BBJ about Current Banking Industry

UAB School of Business faculty members Andreas Rauterkus and Steve Yoder were both quoted in a recent article in the Birmingham Business Journal titled, “More Alabama banks profitable, but black clouds remain.” The article described recent data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation showing that overall banks are returning to profitability. Both Rauterkus and Yoder warned that real estate-related loans remain a problem for many banks, however.
