UAB Internship Opportunity Paved the Way for Career as CPA

UAB Alumnus and Accounting Advisory Council Member Kenneth Penn is featured in the July 2010 issue of the ASCPA  Alabama CPA Magazine (page 13) .  Kenneth grew up in rural Union Springs, AL and is now a partner in the Pantera Group in Union City, Georgia and serves on the board of the ASCPA Educational Foundation. 
Hear his story about how the opportunity to participate in the internship program at UAB under the guidance of Dr. Debbie Tanju allowed him to see first-hand the worlds of
corporate accounting, internal audit, and external audit. "The exposure really played into my personal need for variety and diversity in my assignments, and I realized that audit
was a good fit for me," says Kenneth.
