everis, a global management consulting, IT services and outsourcing company with over 7,300 professionals in over 11 countries around the globe is looking to UAB School of Business Career Services to help expand their services in Birmingham and other parts of the U.S.
everis has 16 years of worldwide experience in helping large corporations and governmental institutions address the new challenges in a highly competitive marketplace, as well as streamlining their internal operations to achieve more efficiency. everis mainly targets the Banking, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Insurance, Media, Government, Telecom, and Utilities sectors. Clients include: Barclays Bank, BBVA and Santander. Its operations in the U.S., headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, are rapidly expanding into other regions of the country including Boston, New York, Miami and Alabama.
“In my short experience in Birmingham, one of the most positive things I've found has been the professional relationship with the UAB School of Business,” says David Gil, Executive Director of everis. “Several BBVA Compass executives told me very well about the high professionalism that UAB School of Business has with companies, but after meeting them, I must say it has been and is one of the primary keys of the expansion that everis is having on the city. The UAB Career Services Department is excellent in their work performing a very detailed analysis of the companies and their needs, and making in this way a previous filter of the potential candidates. Undoubtedly, this insures the candidates are suited to what we are looking for. I have no doubt that we will continue strengthening this professional relationship to benefit both parties. “
“This is a great example of what can be accomplished through corporate partnerships,” says Rita Stewart Hampton, Associate Director of Employment Development. “We know what they are looking for in an applicant and are able to identify qualified candidates, taking care of much of the interview process for them. In return, not only are they offering outstanding career opportunities to UAB business students and graduates, but have also participated in the school’s speed networking event, career fair, and as guest speakers in some of our business classes. everis is working with us to schedule on-campus interviews and has already hired eight business students for full time positions.”
