UAB HR MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

RECOGNIZED BY INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB School of Business Human Resource (HR) Management degree track has been recognized by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a program aligned with the society’s curriculum guidelines. The management degree track in HR management is available to students through the Department of Management, Information Systems and Quantitative Methods.

SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human-resource management. Its recognition of the UAB HR degree track verifies the program’s strong curriculum, said Jack Howard, Ph.D., professor of human resources management in the School of Business. It also reflects well on the quality of UAB’s management faculty members and their knowledge base as it relates to the profession of HR management, Howard said.

“What most consider the world’s most influential association of HR managers has clearly stated that the HR program in the UAB School of Business is of the highest quality,” he said. “This recognition signals that our graduates will be well prepared for success in HR management careers, something that both prospective students and companies looking to hire top-notch, professional graduates will note.”
