Nantahala: Boating & Moountain Biking, NC - July 8 - 10


Nantahala 16Come spend your weekend biking and boating with us! Join us Friday as we paddle the exciting Nantahala River with its scenic beauty and thrilling whitewater. Eight plus miles of constant waves, swift and clear, make the Nantahala River a delight for almost all ages. Also, mountain bike one of the top single-track trails in the country, Tsali! Bike the scenic trails that meander through mixed pine and hardwoods on a peninsula stretching out over Fontana Lake. Bikes and boats included in the cost of the trip.

Glacier National Park: Touring & Backpacking, MT - July 15 - 24


Glacier National Park 16Visit Glacier National Park and find yourself immersed in its spectacular beauty, including glaciers, lakes, streams, forests, and alpine meadows.  This beautiful park, known by Native Americans as the “Backbone of the World”, is a designated World Heritage Site.  Ride through the park on the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road, experiencing some of the most awesome glacial valley views in the world, and backpack some of its 700+ miles of trail.

Grand Canyon: Backpacking, AZ - August 12 - 21


Grand Canyon 16Check off one of your lifelong goals and go backpacking in the incredible Grand Canyon; this powerful and inspiring landscape will overwhelm your senses from its immense size. Enjoy a day stop at the rim at Grand Canyon National Park and see breath taking views of the Colorado River and the sheer size of the canyon itself.  Then backpack down into the canyon and enjoy the beautiful colors of the terrain and the magnificent scenery.  The trip includes 5 days in the canyon and an awesome cross-country drive with scenic stops at Petrified Forest National Park and Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

Cohutta/Ocoee: Backpacking & Rafting, TN/GA - Sept. 10-11

This is the largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi River.Wild lifeabound!Then whitewater raft down the Ocoee, crossing over the most continuous stretch of Class III-IV Rapids in the country; tumbling through a spectacular scenic gorge in the Cherokee National Forest.

Fontana, Smoky Mountains: Canoe & Backpack - Sept. 30 - 2


FontanaCanoe across beautiful Fontana Lake to the town of Proctor, a ghost town abandoned when Fontana Lake flooded the road leading to the town. Explore the foundation remains of Proctor then backpack up atrail surrounded by vibrant fall foliage along a cascading mountain stream.

Cahaba Lake: Afternoon Boating, AL - Oct. 7


CahabaLakeSpend the day on the river. This will be an enjoyable run on the river for someone looking for excitement, but it is also gentle enough for a beginner. You’ll paddle through beautiful Alabama forests with scenic islands and rock outcroppings.

New River Gorge: Climbing, WV - Oct. 7 - 9


NewRiverGorgeWithing the 63,000 acres of Bew River Gorge National River are over 1,400 established rock climbs! "The New" River Gorge has become one of the most popular climbing areas in the country. The cliffs at New River Gorge are made up of a very hard sandstone, and range from 30 to 120 feet in height. Take advantage of the opportunity to climb with local, certified climbing guides who know the best routes for all abilities.

Red Mountain Park: Mountain Bike Ride, AL - Oct. 21


RedMtParkRed Mountain Park is a 1,500-acre park with a 14 mile trail system. These trails are used for walking, hiking and mountain biking. Join us to ride these trails in the crisp air of late October. The park is central to Birmingham and its surrounding diverse communities and offers two overlooks of the city and several other historic venues to visit.

Sand Rock, Little River Canyon: Rock Climbing & Boating, AL - Oct. 28 - 30


Sand Rock 16Come and join us for a great climbing  & boating trip designed for climbers & boaters of all skill levels. This is an opportunity for the beginner to experience outdoor climbing in the top rope environment and for an experienced climber to climb at one of Alabama’s best climbing locations. This sandstone climbing area includes a series of tall boulders strewn along the side of the mountain varying in height from 30 feet to 90 feet. The trip will be run by experienced UAB trip leaders and a certified rock climbing guide. Equipment is included in the cost of the trip. So come and join us on the rocks and the water to have a great experience.

Sipsey Wilderness: Backpacking, AL - Nov. 4 - 6


Sipsey BackpackingBackpack in one of the third largest wilderness areas east of the Mississippi. Hardwood and pine trees dominate the ridges of the spectacular Sipsey Wilderness. The Sipsey Wilderness is also known for the largest Poplar tree in the state of Alabama and its many deep and beautifullygreen canyons. Sipsey is loaded with an incredible number of waterfalls, which has also earned it the name "land of a thousand waterfalls." These trails are mostly level and suitable for all levels of backpacking ability.

Sand Rock, Little River Canyon: Rock Climbing & Boating, AL - Oct. 28 - 30


EvergladesEverglades National Park has been declared a Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site and a Wetlands International Alliance by the United Nations. This trip will allow you to see the Everglades as it is naturally without any loud noises or interruptions to the wild life's daily routine. While boating you will see a variety of birds, manatees and maybe even dolphins. Join us to see the beautiful and mysterious Everglades nature as it will reward you with it's treasure.
