Are you looking for a summer camp for your child that offers something more? If so, then UAB Campus Recreation Summer Camp Program is your place. We offer 10 consecutive weeks of diverse programming with the option of before- or after-care. Your child will have the opportunity to explore active sports, creative crafts, different cultures, and more. 2014 Weekly Themes
|June 2||Team Building Week (At Capacity: NO MORE OPENINGS)
Campers will play games focusing on team building and participation allowing them to get involved with everything that summer camp has to offer.
|June 9||Pirate Week (At Capacity: NO MORE OPENINGS)
Campers will spend time in our climbing facility learning the basics of rock climbing, how to set up camps using supplies from our Outdoor Pursuits Center and will go on treasure hunts!
|June 16||Science Week (At Capacity: NO MORE OPENINGS)
Campers will get to investigate all the fun and interesting things that science can do.
|June 23||Dance and Music Week (At Capacity: NO MORE OPENINGS)
Join us for a week full of musical instruments, bands, dance instruction and singing. We will have a chance to see a live performance from our very own UAB Band, in addition to a talent show put on by the campers themselves at the end of the week that parents are welcome to join!

|June 30||Stars and Stripes Week
Campers will learn about our July 4th holiday while experiencing summer fun!
|July 7||Water Week (At Capacity: NO MORE OPENINGS)
Campers will get to experience a variety of fun aquatic activities including: pool time, water balloon capture the flag, slip n' slide and other splash around games for some summer fun!
|July 14||Blazer Week (At Capacity: NO MORE OPENINGS)
Campers will be given a quest to fulfill throughout the week, including scavenger hunts, craft building and more
|July 21||Field Day Week (SPOTS STILL AVAIALBLE, SIGN UP NOW!)
Campers will be split into two teams, Green and Gold, in order to compete in various activities throughout the week. They will have a chance to win medals during an outdoor picknick awards ceremony at the end of the week that parents are welcome to join!
|July 28||Around the World Week (SPOTS STILL AVAIALBLE, SIGN UP NOW!)
Join us on a quest across the globe as we visit different continents and countries each day of the week! Creatures from all over could show up at anytime to play and explore with you!
|August 4||Hollywood Week (SPOTS STILL AVAIALBLE, SIGN UP NOW!)
Throughout this week campers will get to show off their talents and put on a show as this week will end with a full camp talent show and closing ceremony. Parents are welcome to join in on the fun and watch their little stars shine!

Pricing and AgesGeneral Pricing:
$150/week for UAB Affiliates (ages 5-16)
$180/week for Community Members (ages 5-16)
- Snacks included throughout each day

$220/week for Community Members
NOTE: This pricing includes one week of camp plus lunches!
9am to 4pm daily
Before Care is 7:30am to 9am
After Care is 4pm to 5:30pm
Before and After Care:
$5 per day for Before Care
$5 per day for After Care
LATE FEES: Parents of campers in After Care not picked up by 5:30 PM will be charged a late fee of $10.
DROP-INS: Once reserved spots are filled, we will accept drop-ins as space allows. When we have reached maximum capacity, campers may be turned away. (Maximum capacity may vary according to staff schedule and number of expected campers.)
Please give us a minimum of 24 hours notice if your camper will not be attending Before/After Care on a scheduled day. If no notice is given, you will still be charged.
REFUNDS: You must give at least a 2 week notice, prior to the week enrolled, for any cancellation to receive a full refund (i.e. if you are enrolled in the first week of camp on June 2, 2014, you must notify us on or before May 19, 2014 to get a full refund). If you unenroll a camper one week prior to the camp week in which you wish to cancel, during the camp week or the camp week has passed, no refund will be issued.
