During the spring of 2016, students from Professor Sonja Rieger’s ARS 495: Taking Place course used a combination of installation, sculpture and photographic approaches to produce artworks in natural and urban settings with a focus on their temporality. The showcase highlights photographic documentation of the projects.

Examples of course projects will be showcased by students Ashley Boren, Dezeray Colvin, Tammy Falcon, Ala Ismail, Morgan Lindskog, Augusta Mckewen, Ellory Nichols, and Alex Whitehead.

Project Space is an adaptive space that provides an alternative platform for UAB students, faculty and community to engage teaching, research, public service and visual art practices. For more information, contact Project Space director Jared Ragland at raglandj@uab.edu.
