The Department of Art & Art History has a work-study position available, starting Fall 2016 --
Assist with documentation of course content & departmental events. Assist with occasional errands/mail delivery on campus. Must have knowledge of Photoshop, video editing skills preferred, strong communication skills, strong organizational skills, task oriented, willingness to learn software, attention to detail.
– Visit HireABlazer, UAB’s Career & Professional Development site. Once on HireABlazer create a user id, profile, and upload your resume (on the left side under “My Briefcase” be sure to select “My Profile to upload your picture and create your profile; you can also go to “My Docs” to upload your resume for review). Once approved, you will be able to apply by searching for Work Study positions through the “My Jobs” link. Narrow your search by going to “Job Type” and selecting “Work Study.”
– Follow the instructions in the “How to Apply” section of each job. You may begin calling prospective employers to set up interviews. If you need assistance with how to contact employers or assistance with your resume, please contact the office at 205-934-4324 or firstname.lastname@example.org and set an appointment to meet with a career consultant.
To be considered, you must be awarded Federal Work Study.
