Pre-Medical Prerequisite Courses

All college majors are considered equally, but applicants should consider how the major will be used if acceptance into medical school is never gained. The MCAT score report is also required. College work must include:

  • General Chemistry (with lab): 8 hours
  • Organic Chemistry (with lab): 8 hours
  • General Biology or Zoology (Embryology and Genetics Recommended):8 hours
  • General Physics (with lab): 8 hours
  • College Mathematics (may include computer science or statistics): 6 hours
  • English (such as composition and literature): 6 hours
