Basilico, David A.

David Basilico received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Arizona (1993) with a minor in Cognitive Science. The focus of his research is on the syntax and semantics interface. His work has appeared in several journals, including Language, Natural Language and Linguistic Theory, and The Linguistic Review. He is currently investigating how the information structure of a clause contributes to the positioning of arguments within the sentence. As part of this investigation, he is currently writing a book about the relationship between theticity and transitivity.
