Kightley, Michael

Michael Kightley (Ph.D., University of Western Ontario, 2009) specializes in Anglo-Saxon language and literature, with a secondary interest in Old Norse and Middle English. His doctoral research focused on the reception of the Anglo-Saxons and of the Norse in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with a particular emphasis on the history of Anglo-Saxon scholarship. His other research includes work on Beowulf and The Battle of Maldon. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on Anglo-Saxon and Old Norse literatures, as well as on the history of the English language, early British literature, and composition.
