The College of Arts and Sciences is the heart and soul of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. It is here that much of the education of the "whole person" takes place. As our world continues to become more complex and interconnected, an integrated education must extend beyond the campus classroom. Students must be educated for living and working in a global community. The faculty and staff of the College have taken this educational obligation to heart and have created and support a rich variety of opportunities to globalize a UAB education.

The College of Arts and Sciences welcomes students from all parts of the world who want to pursue their education at UAB.  This includes both degree-seeking and exchange students.
