Farah Ahmad Al Farhan is not afraid of ambition. She is pursuing a double major in Political Science and Economics along with a minor in French and a concentration in International Relations/Comparative Politics. She is also the recipient of the 2012 Voytek Zubek Memorial Scholarship.
As a member of the Global and Community Leadership Honors Program, Farah has been focusing on the social and political issues that resulted in postwar Iraq and future prospects of improvement after the war. Her interests are reflected throughout her coursework and research papers that have mostly dealt with issues related to education, health and wellbeing of children, and corruption and rent-seeking behavior in Iraq.
Farah looks forward to further scholarship – she has started looking into MA and PhD programs in International Affairs with a Middle East concentration for her postgraduate studies. She is grateful to her professors in the Department of Government for helping her in narrowing down her interests and encouraging her to pursue graduate studies.
