Adam Vines Keeping Schedule Full with New Book of Poetry

Since the launch of his new book of poetry, The Coal Life, Adam Vines has been keeping a full schedule.  A reading from the The Coal Life was featured in Poetry's blog.  The publication of his book was celebrated at the inaugural College of Arts and Sciences Book Celebration in May.  Prior to the book celebration Vines read at the Alabama Book Festival and at an anthology launch at an Atlanta,. Georgia bookstore and library.  The anthology is A Face to Meet the Faces: An Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poetry, U of Akron P, 2012, in which Vines has a poem. He will read in the Miller Cabin Series in Washington DC and at the Sewanee Writers' Conference this July. In October, Vines will read and sit on a panel at the Southern Festival of Books.  This will be followed by a reading at the Ozark Poets and Writers Collective in Arkansas in November.  Vines will wrap up the year with a reading and discussion with two Southern Literature classes at the University of Mississippi,Tupelo, classes which are using his book as a text.
