John Maddox
(PhD in Spanish & Portuguese, Vanderbilt)

His research focuses on contemporary historical novels on slavery from Latin America. He specializes in narrative of the Hispanic Caribbean and Brazil.

DFLL at UAB Expo

Eleven DFLL students won 1st Place and 3rd Place at the UAB Expo for Undergraduate Research on April 11, 2014. A total of twenty-three students from the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures participated in the event with twelve poster presentations and two oral presentations.
