Foreign Language Ambassadors

Foreign Language Ambassadors will serve as the official hosts and hostesses for the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.  Ambassadors are responsible for assisting when needed with the recruitment, retention, public relations, and alumni activities for the department.  Foreign Languages students must apply to become an Ambassador.  Click here for application.  For advising, please contact Belita Faki,

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club is an organization that encompasses a diverse group of enthusiasts of the Spanish language and of Hispanic cultures. As an organization, we strive to improve our language skills and cultural understanding.  We participate in numerous activities, such as the UAB International Bazaar, monthly/weekly conversational dinners.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham Spanish And Latino Student Association (SALSA): ¡¡¡CALLING ALL UAB HISPANIC STUDENTS!!!   If you’re Latino, Spanish, taking Spanish, or simply enjoy some of the many culinary and musical aspects of Latin American and Spanish culture, you are invited to join us; S.A.L.S.A. (Spanish And Latino Student Association) has been created as a way to unite all the UAB students who share these interests.
