Learn Spanish at Spain’s oldest university on its 800th anniversary during summer semester 2018.

Learn Spanish at Spain’s oldest university — Universidad de Salamanca — on its 800th anniversary through UAB Study Abroad in Salamanca. Salamanca, a lively and dynamic community of 165,000 inhabitants, is home to some of the most impressive architecture in Spain. The city is characterized by its unique yellow stone façades which fill the streets with color and light. The diverse architectural styles of its cloisters, churches, and Renaissance palaces blend together in the streets and plazas of the old town. The striking engravings which characterize the Romanesque and Gothic cathedrals, the House of Shells, and the façade of the university all reflect Salamanca’s historical importance.

While there you will take Spanish immersion classes and attend weekly lectures on Spanish culture and civilization. You will go on full-day excursions as well as visit local attractions, and participate in activities like cooking and dance classes and sports events.

Two study abroad opportunities include:

  • Four-week program: May 4 - June 2, 3 Spanish credit hours, $2,175 (room, board, excursions)*
  • Five-week program: May 4 - June 9, 6 Spanish credit hours, $2,799 (room, board, excursions)*

*Total does not include cost of flight.
