Undergrad Research Position
Undergraduate Research Position in Electronic Materials Laboratory
An undergraduate research position is available in the semiconductor characterization laboratory of Professor Mary Ellen Zvanut, Department of Physics. The student will be contributing to the understanding of materials required to advance solid state lighting (LED’s) and high power electronics. The work will involve sample preparation, measurement and assistance with data analysis. No experience is necessary, but at least an introductory level physics background is desired.
The student is expected to work at least 6 hrs/week in 2 three-hour or one six-hour sessions. The initial appointment will be through Fall semester, but extension through Spring and Summer is possible if the work is satisfactory and a good academic record is maintained.
