PY 396: Teaching Practicum

PY 396 was established to provide students with an opportunity to receive academic credit for participating in supervised teaching of undergraduate psychology courses. 

PY 396 is taken on a Pass/Fail basis.

Supervisors and Settings.  Any instructor (including graduate, adjunct, and tenure/tenure-track) of a course or courses listed or cross-listed in the UAB psychology department at the 100, 200, or 300 level may serve as a PY 396 supervisor.

Prerequisites.  Eligible students must have completed the course with which they wish to assist and must also obtain permission from the Director of Undergraduate Studies.

How to Proceed.  Students are responsible for contacting the instructor who teaches the course with which they are interested in assisting.  Be sure to read the General Information on PY 396, 397 and PY 398 and complete the required forms if you are interested in enrolling in PY 396.
