The College of Arts and Sciences Research Office promotes and facilitates research and scholarship across the College. 

Some of our specific objectives and services include:

• Working with departments to provide faculty the time and resources needed to conduct scholarship
• Supporting interdisciplinary collaborations across CAS departments, with the UAB campus, and with the broader community and society 
• Assisting departments with pre-award submissions for external funding
• Assisting departments with post-award monitoring of external funding
• Supporting departments in their interactions with research-related entities on campus
