Grassroots Shakespeare Alabama continues to bring quality theatre to parks and public spaces all over Birmingham. Describing themselves as "a pop-up, outdoor theatre company bringing free and accessible Shakespeare," the troupe has performed in beautiful spots all around Birmingham, including Crestwood Park, Caldwell Park, Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Railroad Park, and Avondale Park.

Britt Rentschler in "Instant Mom" in NickelodeonDepartment alum Britt Rentschler (seen here in her role as party girl "Holly" on the NickMom TV series "Instant Mom") was featured as "Elena Markov" in a recent episode of the hit ABC TV series Castle.  For a while at least, you can still see the episode on the ABC site.

Lauren Lippeatt Department alum Lauren Lippeatt, seen here on the cover of Fit & Well Magazine, returns to her alma mater on occasion to lead discussions on the positive effects of yoga on mental health. She'll also lead a Women's Empowerment Workshop on April 12th off-campus --get the details here.
