This summer our beloved benefactor Carol Odess (seen here with Department Chair Kelly Allison) brought several of our people to Alaska's Sitka Fine Arts Camp. The Camp offers opportunities for University students to work with younger aspiring theatre artists in perfect environment for experiential learning.
Chicago actor and Second City alum Anthony Irons returns to Birmingham July 6 to perform a play he created while he was one of our students.
The play is a one-man show called "Passage," a series of vignettes touching on different phases of African-American history and heritage.
Long-time fans of Theatre UAB will remember Irons as "Puck" in our 1999 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the first show we produced in the Alys Stephens Center.
