The Frontiers in Macromolecular Simulations Symposium in an annual event jointly sponsored by UAB and Georgia Tech. This symposium brings together leading researchers in the field of computational and structural biology. The site for this event alternates between UAB and Georgia Tech campuses. This years symposium will be at UAB on April 7 and 8. Ken Dill, University of California, San Francisco, will be the keynote speaker for this year’s symposium. His talk is titled “Can Protein Folding Physics Help In Protein Structure Prediction?”Other speakers will include James Bowie (UCLA), Eric Jakobsson (UIUC), Michael Klein (Penn), Themis Lazaridis (CUNY), Mike Pitman (IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center), Peter Tieleman (Calgary), Douglas Tobias (UCI), Tom Woolf (Johns Hopkins), and Jere Segrest (UAB).
