Seminar by Steve McKnight

On Tuesday, May 8th, Dr. Steve McKnight, a distinguished scientist with a long history of major contributions in the areas of intracellular signaling and gene expression will present new mechanisms for regulating gene expression through modulation of macromolecular complexes of RNAs called RNA Granules.  The title of the seminar is “Reversible Polymerization of Low Complexity Sequences as an Organizational Principle for the Formation of RNA Granules in Eukaryotic Cells.”  It will be held from 4-5pm in Room 170 of the Bevill Biomedical Research Building.  The event is cosponsored by the Department of Genetics, the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics, the Department of Microbiology, and the CCTS.  Register here.
