Faculty Biostatistics Forum
The Faculty Biostatistics Forum will meet on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Medical Towers, 634. Please note the special date for this month.
M. Ataharul Islam, Professor, Department of Statistics and OR, King Saud University, Riyadh will give a talk entitled, “Modeling of Correlated Outcome Data: Some Alternative Approaches.” We hope you can join us for this special visitor’s presentation.
This forum is typically held on the third Thursday of each month from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in Medical Towers. The Faculty Biostatistics Forum welcomes participation from across UAB and its partnering institutions. The forum brings together faculty biostatisticians and epidemiologists from UAB’s COERE Methods Unit, DOPM Methodology Section and the Data and Information Statistics Core, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS), the Schools of Dentistry and Public Health, and UAB’s partners in the Deep South Network of Translational Research (DSNTR).
These meetings offer a standing time for discussion of basic or advanced statistical and methodological problems in study design and data analysis, and also for statistical education. Speakers at these meetings may be investigators who seek statistical advice or statisticians who want to present their own work on statistical applications to medical and public health research.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 21, 2013. If you would like to access this resource and schedule some time on the agenda for one of these meetings, please contact Dr. Robert Oster (email@example.com) or Laura Gallitz (firstname.lastname@example.org) at 205-934-3376.
