Organizations UAB Student Affliate of the ACS The UAB SAACS has been formed to address issues facing undergraduate chemistry majors and foster the awareness fo the responsibilities and challenges of the modern chemist. The chapter shall facilitate academic and professional development, research and presentation experiences, and instill departmental spirit and professional pride. Alpha Epsilon Delta UAB Alpha Epsilon Delta Alpha Epsilon Delta is a national pre-health honor society that initiates students with GPA and evidence of service activities in the middle of their sophomore year. However, all interested students are encouraged to attend the program meetings where much valuable information is offered.
