Evolution, Thursday, September 19, 2013, 7:00 p.m. Eric Essix will perform songs from his landmark 20th recording titled Evolution, which commemorates the 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church.A More Convenient Season, Saturday, September 21, 2013, 8:00 p.m. Yotam Haber, internationally-known composer; this will be the world premiere of his commissioned program, featuring the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, led by guest conductor Damon Gupton, and the 16th Street Baptist Church Choir, combined with children from across Birmingham, led by choral director, Rev. Kevin Turner.
